Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about going solar in Antalya — answered by our expert team.

Cost & Pricing

How much does solar installation cost in Antalya?

Solar installation in Antalya typically costs ₺12,000–₺14,000 per kWp all-in. A typical 10 kWp home system runs ₺140,000–₺180,000. Commercial systems above 50 kWp often cost ₺11,000–₺12,000/kWp due to economies of scale. All our quotes are fully itemised with no hidden fees.

What is the payback period in Antalya?

Most residential systems pay back in 3–5 years, commercial systems in 2–4 years. Antalya's 1,550 kWh/kWp annual yield and current electricity prices of ₺3.50/kWh (residential) make this one of the best solar ROIs in Europe. After payback, 18–22 years of essentially free electricity follows.

Are there any subsidies or incentives?

Turkey offers net metering (offset your bill with surplus generation) and YEKDEM feed-in tariffs for larger systems. VAT on solar equipment is reduced. Farmers may access IPARD II grants (up to 50% of investment). We advise on all available incentives during your free consultation.

Installation Process

How long does the full process take?

The physical installation takes 1–3 days for residential. However, the total process from first enquiry to active system (including TEDAŞ grid application) takes 4–8 weeks. We manage all steps and keep you updated throughout.

Do I need a permit to install solar panels?

Yes. A TEDAŞ grid connection application is required for all systems over 1 kWp. In some conservation zones, a building permit from the municipality is also needed. We handle all permits on your behalf as part of the installation service.

Will you clean up after the installation?

Absolutely. Our team leaves your property in the condition they found it. We remove all packaging, offcuts and debris. We also provide a professional final clean of the panels before handover.

Equipment & Performance

What brands of panels and inverters do you use?

We supply Tier-1 panels from Jinko Solar (Tiger Neo N-Type), LONGi (Hi-MO 6) and Canadian Solar (HiHero). For inverters we use Huawei SUN2000, Fronius Symo and SMA Sunny Boy/Tripower. All equipment is CE-certified, suitable for Turkish climate conditions and supported by manufacturer warranties.

How do panels perform in Antalya's heat?

All solar panels lose efficiency slightly at high temperatures (typically -0.3% per °C above 25°C). We select panels with the best temperature coefficients (LONGi Hi-MO 6 at -0.29%/°C) to minimise this. Despite summer heat, Antalya's high irradiance means total annual generation is outstanding.

What warranties do you offer?

25–30 year panel performance warranty (manufacturer), 12-year product warranty on panels, 5–10 year inverter warranty, and a 5-year workmanship warranty from Solar in Antalya on the installation itself. We also include 12 months of free remote monitoring.

Grid & Net Metering

Can I sell excess solar back to the grid?

Yes. Turkey's net metering scheme (Elektrik Piyasası Kanunu) allows residential and small commercial owners (up to 1 MW) to offset their electricity bill with surplus solar generation. Unused credits roll over monthly. Larger systems can apply for YEKDEM feed-in tariffs.

What happens during a power cut?

A standard on-grid system shuts down during a power cut for safety reasons. A hybrid system with battery storage will switch to battery backup automatically within milliseconds — keeping your lights and appliances running. This is why hybrid systems are popular in coastal Antalya where occasional grid interruptions occur.
