Professional Solar Installation in Antalya: What to Expect

Going solar in Antalya is one of the smartest financial decisions you can make in 2026. But the process involves several steps, permits and decisions that can feel overwhelming if you're doing it for the first time. This guide walks you through exactly what to expect — from your first enquiry to the moment you see kilowatts flowing into your home.

Step 1: Initial Enquiry and Consultation

The first step is contacting a reputable installer. At Solar in Antalya, we respond to all enquiries within 2 hours during business hours. We'll ask you a few questions: the size of your electricity bill, whether you own or rent your property, the type of roof you have, and what you're hoping to achieve (bill reduction, energy independence, investment return, etc.).

This initial consultation is free and designed to help us understand your goals before we even visit the property. Based on your bill, we can give you a rough system size estimate and indicative cost over the phone.

Step 2: Free Site Survey

A qualified solar engineer will visit your property — usually within 2–5 working days of your enquiry. During the survey we:

  • Assess your roof structure, orientation and condition
  • Conduct a shading analysis using specialist software
  • Review your electricity meter and consumer unit (fuse board)
  • Measure the roof area available for panels
  • Note grid connection point and cable run requirements
  • Discuss your preferences: on-grid, hybrid or off-grid; system size; panel brand

The site visit typically takes 45–90 minutes. You don't need to prepare anything — just be present to let the engineer access the roof and meter.

Step 3: System Design and Quotation

Within 24–48 hours of the site survey, we produce a detailed system design including:

  • 3D panel layout on your specific roof
  • Annual yield estimate (kWh/year) from PVsyst simulation software
  • Itemised equipment list (panel model, inverter model, mounting system, cabling, switchgear)
  • Financial model: investment, annual savings, payback period, 25-year cash flow
  • All-in price with no hidden costs

We present this in a clear written proposal — you'll know exactly what you're getting and what it will cost before you sign anything.

Step 4: Permits and Grid Application

Once you accept the proposal, we handle all the bureaucracy on your behalf. For most residential systems, this involves:

  • TEDAŞ grid application: Submitting technical documentation to your local electricity distributor for permission to connect. This takes 2–6 weeks.
  • Building permit: Required in some conservation areas or for certain roof types. We handle this with the local Belediye (municipality).
  • Metering upgrade: Your existing meter is replaced with a smart bidirectional meter after grid approval.

We notify you at each stage and handle all correspondence with TEDAŞ and other authorities. You don't need to visit any offices.

Step 5: Installation Day(s)

Once permits are in hand, we schedule installation — typically at a date of your convenience. A typical 8–15 kWp residential installation takes 1–2 days with a team of 3–4 installers. On the day:

  • Installers arrive at 08:00 with all materials in the company van
  • Roof mounting structure is installed first (no penetrations on flat roofs)
  • Panels are fitted and wired in sequence
  • Inverter is wall-mounted and wired to the consumer unit
  • All work passes internal quality inspection before commissioning

Step 6: Commissioning and Handover

On the final day of installation, our engineer commissions the system: powering up the inverter, connecting to Wi-Fi and verifying all readings on the monitoring app. We test the backup/EPS function if your system includes battery storage. We then show you how to use the monitoring app and leave you with a full system manual.

Step 7: Ongoing Monitoring and Maintenance

After installation, your system is monitored remotely. We set up alerts for underperformance so if anything goes wrong, we know before you do. Annual panel cleaning and an inverter health check are recommended — we offer maintenance contracts from ₺2,500/year.

Choosing the Right Installer: What to Ask

  • Are you TEDAŞ/EPDK authorised?
  • What brand of panels and inverters do you use? Are they Tier-1?
  • Is the quote all-in including permits and grid connection?
  • What warranty do you offer on workmanship?
  • Can I see references or visit a completed installation?
  • Do you have liability insurance?
